Ollie's secret

The Brave Face.

Ollie knows how to look brave.
Chin up. Hands in pockets. A little smile.
Nothing to worry about.

It's a very good Brave Face.

It's just that sometimes his wobbles have other ideas.

Being brave doesn't mean never wobbling.

Sometimes being brave means doing the thing anyway — even when your tummy feels funny, your knees feel wobbly and your Brave Face isn't quite working.

●●●The big idea

Everyone gets wobbles.

New school. New friends. A strange noise upstairs. Speaking in front of everyone. Even little monsters have moments when things feel big.

The funny bit

Ollie's advice comes back to him.

Ollie is excellent at telling Bella that everything will be fine. Unfortunately for Ollie, Bella remembers everything he says.

The brave bit

You can wobble and still have a go.

Ollie's stories aren't about getting rid of fear. They're about finding out that you don't have to wait for the wobble to disappear before you begin.

Ollie and the Very Loud School

Book One · Collywobble Stories

Ollie is brilliant at telling everyone else not to worry. Then his first day at Collyvale Primary gets very, very loud — and suddenly his own excellent advice is much harder to follow.

You can wobble and still be brave.

A warm, reassuring story about big feelings, little steps and finding the courage to have a go.

The Collywobbles

A family of wonderfully different monsters.

Deep in Collyvale lives a little family of monsters. They all have their own ways of being brave — and their own ways of wobbling.

Different monsters.
Brighter days.

Welcome to

Collyvale.

Deep in a forest where the trees lean in to listen, the Collywobbles live at Collywobble Cottage — a cosy home filled with quilts, lantern-light, muddy boots and the occasional very important pebble.

It's a place where little monsters can be little monsters. Where feelings are allowed to wobble. And where there's usually someone nearby who understands.

About Collywobble

Stories for little monsters with big feelings.

Collywobble grew from a simple idea: children do not need to become fearless before they can be brave. Ollie, Bella and the family make room for the ordinary wobbles that come with growing up — starting somewhere new, getting things wrong, asking for help and having another go.

The stories aim to help children recognise those feelings without turning storytime into a lesson. They are warm, funny adventures first, with reassurance sitting quietly underneath.

Collywobble is being created especially for young children and the grown-ups who share stories with them — at home, at school and anywhere a Brave Face might suddenly appear.
